Why does no one realize that childbirth is sexual?

Same organs, same hormones are involved.

Just like to make love, intimacy is required.

That's sweating, moaning, gasping, blank eyes, hips moving...

How has birth/sex become so rigid and controlled?.

Reaching orgasm requires putting the brain at rest and getting down to the body.

Give birth to the same thing.

The issue is that many people with vulva live faking orgasms, to fit into the patriarchal model.

The thing is you can't fake a childbirth.

#oxytocin is the main hormone responsible for uterine contractions, and it is very sensitive; it needs reassurance, dim light and confidence.

It doesn't matter how close you are to running, if someone breaks into the room without warning, or turns on strong lights or talks to you about something very technical; it gets cut.

They are all stimulations of the neocortex, which generate adrenaline, and inhibit the process.

They call it a failure in progress delivery.

I don't think this is a failure, nobody fails to give birth.

It is rather centuries of #sexual repression coupled with deficient information based on fear that causes all these unnecessary interventions and suffering.
